I am having a weird thing going on with a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica.
1. when I first start the car I have no first gear, even when I put it in low.
2. when I raise rpms it shifts into 2nd and I take off drving it shifts to third but will not shift out of 3rd.
3. after it is warm 1rst gear works and I can manually shift through 1rst through 4th.
Has anyone had an issue like this before?

No, but when was ATF changed? 2004… You should have around 120 000 miles on her? And about 5 or 6 ATF changes done by now?
You are probably going to have to get it to a shop.
Without getting boring and technical too much – sounds like bad seals inside the trans.What you need to do now is decide what your next course of action will be if it needs rebuilt. You could call a few shops and ask about a “soft rebuild”, which is the best case scenario and least expensive.
Since it works OK when it is warm, that is what makes me think it is seals and probably some clutches messed up. Rebuilding one is not something a home mechanic can really do. You have no clue the mess involved in rebuilding a transmission. Don;t just get one from a junkyard either because unless the vehicle is wrecked, there is a good chance the trans is what landed it in the junkyard to begin with.
