      Hey Eric
I have a 95 Honda civic and my problem is that when driving the car and going at a steady pace the car all of a sudden the RPM gauge drops and the car stalls out , Sometimes it will start back up immediately and there’s times it will not and it seems like it’s not getting gas cause when pressing the gas pedal it also stalls out so i changed the fuel filter and i’m still having the same exact problem when sitting at a light or even short periods of time at a stop sign, do you know what may be the problem.

just a guess, sounds like the catalytic converter is plugged.
the problem is, cats don’t plug up unless something else is wrong.
another question, does this happen when the car is cold, or hot, or both?

No it doesn’t stall during start up or after until I’ve been driving for about 20 miles steadily before it begins to flutter and stall out, starts backup immediately after then I may go an additional five before it happens again, that’s my drive to work, going home a different story i only get about 10 to 12 miles steadily before it begins to flutter and stall out and it doesn’t start back up immediately takes a while of false sputtering like it’s going to start but doesn’t takes 20 to 30 minutes of sitting to restart.

No warning lights and they where tested all working was asked about a small box like sensor of some sort inside the distributor cap some small magnet looking with two small screws that’s next to try.

Just guessing here, but what you describe could be caused by a flakey coil. A coil that’s going bad will often work fine when cold, but will break down when it heats up.

Replacement of the Distributor solved the problem thx for all advice.
