Alright so I have a 1995 Chevy truck K1500 With the 5.7 I had gotten into an accident back in may and I did all the repairs myself. The air bag NEVER deployed but should have lol well after the accident I was checking everything over and I started the truck and it ran infact there were NO Check engine lights, ABS lights, Or even AIR BAG lights on NONE. Which surprised me lol I thought for sure some dash light would be on but NOPE! Well anyway so I started to tear into the damage and what I did was I tied the radiator core support to a power pole so I could pull it out since it was pushed in quite far. well when I did that the AIR BAG light FINALLY Came on I found out why. the airbag arming sensor located on the front passenger frame rail WAS hit in the accident and when I pulled the core support out the sensor just Disintegrated. well I bought another arming sensor off of a 1995 Chevy Tahoe and it worked. i stated the truck up and the AIR BAG light flashed like its suppose to and it went out. what i did then was turn the wheel from lock to lock just to make sure the front tires arnt hitting anything then i shut the truck off and stated it 5 minutes later the airbag light was on again… so i thought it was the clock spring. i found a way to check the clock spring (in this video) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UgL22uM8Tk) I did this and my meter buzzed saying i had a good clock spring. so i rechecked all the connections in the front where the sensor got smashed. everything is still hooked up fine. No wires were pinched or broken so now heres what i was wondering i think i have a bad ignition key switch (in another post) (https://www.ericthecarguy.com/forum/8-Service-and-Repair-Questions-Answered-Here/46354-starting-issue) so my question is could a BAD Key switch Cause the airbag light to stay on?
