Now that me 95 accord is safely rolling down the road, I was wondering if there was somebody here who knows about SRS.
My car has the SRS light on, when I pulled the code I was greeted with a 10-1. According to my service manual this means “airbags deployed”.
I can tell the car has been crashed, that bit is obvious (fenders, bumper and rear driver door are different, hood is dented and not flush, lower beam looks slightly pushed up) but I don’t know how bad the crash was. Hard enough to blow the bags, but frame appears ok and body lines look good.
I want to turn the SRS light off, but not in the same way the previous guy did and pull the bulb.
I have been looking and this information is not readily available online. The only thing I can find is this
      http://www.justanswer.com/honda/0lufj-95-accord-4cyl-where-srs-sensor-located.html

Honda wants 600 bucks to get the SRS module replaced, that includes installation and programming. Even though that doesn’t seem bad, I cant afford that.

First thing I want to verify that the airbags are real, and verify that the SRS system will function properly before I find a module.
Does anybody know how I can do that?

After that I want to find the module. I have found some on ebay, there I got more information saying that I needed to match the part number. Is it possible to do this without taking out my dash?

I found the module but access to it is hard to get to, I can only see the side of it.

      Any help would be great.
      Thanks

If the car was hit you may need to check wiring and sensors. If that checks out
You will need to see if the air bags were deployed. Whats throwing me is the srs
module is reporting an air bag problem. If all the above checks out and everything
is there then the module is next in line. If the module was bad I would think you would
        get a different code.

How exactly do I check the sensors, just a standard continuity test?
I don’t want to mess something up and blow the airbags that are in the car.
