Squishy Brakes

I put all new brakes on about 5k ago. It’s a 2000 Yukon XL with 175k miles, and rear disc brakes. Lately the brakes have been squishy. I bled the brakes, but nothing happened. Watched the etcg video on ,aster cylinder. Flushed the whole system. Nope. Nothing has changed. Not sure I really have a leak as the reservoir is not going down.

      Thoughts?

You may want to replace the rubber brake lines. I would do the front first
to see if the problem improves. The hoses could be worn and expanding
        to much.

Can you elaborate “squishy”. Also, when you bled the brakes you mentioned nothing happened. Can you clarify “nothing”.

The brake pedL feels like there is air in the lines. It goes all the way to the floor. However I have bled the lines completely, this no air. After I replaced the master cylinder, I bled another pint through. No air at all. If you go and pump the brakes, they are rock hard. When you start the car, pedal goes to the floor. You do t need a scan tool for these brakes.

Did you bleed the new master cylinder? It sounds like the master cylinder isn’t working correctly assuming there is no air in the system. Do you have ABS? Some vehicles have a very specific bleed procedure with ABS. If your system is “open” too long while doing brake lines, master cylinders, etc. you will most likely get air in your ABS system. I hear its a b_tch to fix after that. I don’t personally have experience with this though.
