If you have worked on cars long enough you know sometimes you have to fabricate a special tool for a special job. Recently I took the challenge of changing spark plugs in my Kia Sedona 3.5 v/6. There are bolts on a bracket next to the fire wall I just could not break loose. After picking up a a few tools I thought might work at Lowe’s some thing told me to check out the galvanized pipes. You see the bolts are on a bracket that the sides come up just enough a swivel nor a geared flex wrench will work. Its too close to the heater hoses and so I could not get my 3/8 ratchet in there. My 12 MM box wrench was the only thing that had a chance but I could not get enough leverage to break the bolts loose nor did I have the strength. Any way I bought a 8inch galv. 1/2 in. pipe. That is what let me get the job done . I didn’t put it over the wrench I placed it in the jaws of the open end side and whalla. Such a challenge as there is hardly room for tools let alone hands.
