I purchased a set of NGK plugs and noticed that on two of them the ground electrode was offset a little to the center electrode.

Would this cause any problems in spark delivery?

Wouldn’t cause a rough idle or anything?

Did the spark plugs come from the factory indexed?

Indexed? They’re the NGK V-power plugs

Hopefully this better helps dictate what I’m talking about. Googled the same v-power ngk plugs I’ve noticed it on that are in my car.

NGK plugs are great. They should be good right out of the box. If you post a pic, perhaps we can get a better idea of what you’re dealing with.

Eric they’re in my car currently but I included a pic with an illustration to better help readers understand.

The side ground electrode is not perfectly centered over the center electrode and I’m curious if it’d affect idle at all?

Was having an issue with a shaky idle that I was battling since my last full tune up a year ago.

I decided to change out the plugs because they’re cheap enough and I had questioned the ground electrode on a couple of them when I installed them a year ago.

New ones seemed to help a bit but I still feel it every 3-4 seconds in my seat. It’s like a slight offbeat rhythm of the engine. Maybe it’s just normal for a 4 cylinder?

Looking at them are they indicating a rich mixture or do they look normal?

Also, those little dots of brown on the ceramic can be scratched off. I’m guessing it’s dried up dielectric grease?

Gonna keep this thread all together. The old plugs look good. Not to rich from what I can see. looks normal.
see if this helps with spark plugs.
