I would be very cautious with that 2.5 QR25DE engine. They are known for excessive oil consumption due to a incorrect piston ring break in period at the factory. Nissan also recalled 03 to 06 Sentra’s and Altima’s with that same engine due to that issue.
Are you suffering from any excessive oil burn off during oil changes?

yes! i do the routine oil change with 3k miles but it’s like on average i have to keep putting in 2qts of oil a week, its annoying
I’d be very worried about the threads on that plug you had a hard time getting out, I’ve seen this before and when you go to pull the plug out the next time be VERY careful as it could damage the head permanently and you will have to remove it and send it off to be repaired. To be honest I don’t know the exact seal set up on that engine, normally I just see upper spark plug well seals in the valve cover but since there wasn’t that much oil I might just leave well enough alone and just monitor the situation for now as you may be faced with a more significant repair in the future.
my aunt has a 2000 altima and shes been havin probems with oil consumption… the other night i was adding oil for her and spilled some on the engine so i removed the sparkplug boot and about a half cup of oil came out with it i just assumed valve cover gasket but havent got around to change it yet oh and it was the far right (passenger side) spark plug

If you are putting 2 qts of oil in that motor every week, i would be looking for a replacement vehicle. That is the same practice we were doing with my wife’s Sentra until the engine blew on the way home from her workS:(.
Using Penzoil high mileage 5w30 did reduce some of the consumption.
