Sonata no start, sorta cranks

Driving a 2011 Hyundai sonata with a 2.4, no turbo today. Totally problem free car, smooth running until this afternoon.
Accelerated from a stop light, then it shifted back into first, then bogged down and died. Barely cranks over, and when trying, all the lights went out like the battery was going dead. I pulled the battery and carried it to AutoZone, they said it was fine with a full charge.
I wanted to pull codes after getting my scanner, but after walking back to the car, it had been towed off. I’m getting it out of the impound lot tomorrow, but I could use some advice.
Oil level was fine, no sign of mixed fluids.

Turned out to be a recall issue. The rod bearings spun, engine self destructed. Recall covered a new short block.
