If you find turning wrenches more enjoyable and therapudic then going out and frying your brain then you are wise beyond your years. when I was your age ( a long time ago in a galaxy far far away ) I too found turning wrenches as well as playing sports a far more productive way to spend my time. I watched way too many classmates take a fast trip to a early grave ( drugs , alcohol and way to fast cars = a fatal combination ) keep your positive ways and you will go far in life.
January 20, 2012 at 11:00 am #454351That’s a good attitude to have and as said above, you are mature beyond your years.
I was all over the place when i was younger, but then i got married when i was 20 and it calmed me down.
Now working on vehicles for me is fun, enjoyable and i love it. There is some bad days at the shop but that’s how it goes for any profession.
January 21, 2012 at 11:00 am #454352I quit drinking several years ago and don’t miss it at all as I enjoy being sober and in full control of my facilities. Wish I did it sooner.
January 23, 2012 at 11:00 am #454353Good for you. Keep that a goal in your life. When I was young I did way to much partying. It is a dead end street with nothing but much more frustrating problems. I have not consumed alcohol for 22 years now, and do not miss it.
January 23, 2012 at 11:00 am #454354Good for you. That “should be” in your sentence comes from lots of movies and advertising. The drinking and party lifestyle that’s sold to young people is mostly a lie and you don’t have to find that out the hard way. I like having a beer once in a while, but I really like working out a car repair problem. It’s a very rewarding thing to build/fix something and you’ll have a lot to show for that approach to life.
January 24, 2012 at 11:00 am #454355I’m the same way, If i feel Mad about something i just go outside to my little shop and find something to work on.
Thats why i ALWAYS have a project car ( just picked up a ’80 vw rabbit diesel project) cause even if it’s just doing something little to it for an hour it makes the rest of my day much better.January 24, 2012 at 11:00 am #454356Quoted From Trcustoms719:
