      Hi guys,

We have three vehicles in the family. A Nissan Armada, Toyota Camry and Alfa Romeo 155. I recently started to notice a small amount of coolant loss happening in my Alfa. But later when I check all our three cars happened to have that. Just a very minor top up needed every month. And no other signs of an head gasket or any other external leaks are shown. To note, I live in a very hot region. Summer has kicked in and temperatures are over 120 degree Fahrenheit if that has to do with this.

      Thanks,
      🙂

Unless the vehicle has a sealed reservoir there will be a constant small amount of evaporation. I’ve not lived in a climate as hot as yours are but I see this even in winter.

The majority of coolant is water. As such water can burn off and ‘steam’. This is normal in the cooling system and periodic top offs are necessary.
