      Happened a few weeks ago…
Just wanted to get a grip on cost to repair it..
      What do you guys think?

I would try to bang it out and repaint it myself, but I have no garage or tools at this current time.. :silly:

If it is a guess of 500 just for body work, Not for painting, I will keep the car and build it..
If it is more when I get it estimated after I start working, I’m going to just leave the car and save for another SN95
I Pushed the majority of the dent out from the inside, It just wont move anymore just by pushing/banging.

poor pony. looks more like 1k rather than 500. thats just body work back to primer, or my shops around here are overpriced.

you could try a heat gun and cans of compressed air to lighten them out. metal has a memory and wants to go back to its original shape. you cant just pound them out or pull them you have to massage the metal back into place.

          That sucks.

Spraying liquid nitrogen or O2 on it can also make the metal contract and level soft dents, however yours is a big area so I am doubtful. Good luck with it!

I agree that it is probably gonna cost you more than $500. Don’t make the mistake I did with my 68 stang. Do your homework on body shops before you shell out money for body work. Remember you get what you pay for. Local mechanics would be the best people to get advice on a good body shop. Just make sure you ask a couple different mechanics. And don’t be surprised if they have to cut part of that panel out if the metal has been stretched.

You’d be amazed at what the ‘Dent Wizard’ and companies like it can do. I’d give them a call and get an estimate. We used them at the dealer all the time and they did great work.
