I’ve been wanting to make a video on this topic for a long time. I got the chance last week when this car came into my friend Scott Armstrong’s shop. So before you go for a Honda fuel pump, give this a try.

Maybe your video will keep the Honda help requests down a little.

Perhaps, but in my experience people want information from the source rather than from a video. At least it will save me some typing.

Indeed it has. I was happy to have the opportunity to make it.

Hi Eric, This sounds like my issue with my 2004 honda pilot. When it does not start, I just bump the bottom of the steering column and the immobilizer recognizes the key and it will start the engine. Recently the it died driving down the interstate and was wondering if you think this whole issue might be the electric part of the ignition switch. Also do you know that this part is called so I can be specific when trying to find this part?
                Thanks.

The part you are referring to is commonly known as the “Ignition Switch Electrical Portion.”
