Hey Eric how everything going? I hear your going to be busy for awhile but hope you have a blast at all your events especially SEMA. My problem is not a rough idle but a low idle after warm up. When first start the car in the morning or after been sitting for awhile it will idle around 12-1500 but after a few minutes it starts dropping. It doesn’t just drop like a rock but little by little and while driving when I come to a stop it idles maybe around 500 and feels like it want to cut off. Have done recent tune up and have double checked the cooling system. Everything seems to check out good there have do a smoke test with typical results like out through the air cleaner. I have been thinking my IAC valve may have finally went out but not 100% positive. I have turned out the idle screw and it will rise for a second then go back to where it was. I have unplugged the IAC while the car was running with no change in idle but when pug it back up the idle goes back up to normal. Is there any test to determine if the IAC is truly bad and needs replacement or if the problem is something somewhere else. Its a 1992 civic with a D16Z6 as in the EX and SI models. Thanks for any insight you or anyone else can give. Sorry for the long windedness but wanted to put all the details out there.
