So I also have a fluctuating idle on a 94 Acura Integra and was going to follow the steps provided by ETCG when I noticed there was a little… pipe…? sticking out on the driver’s side of the intake manifold. My question is could this be the cause (or at least one of them) to the fluctuating idle? Am I missing a hose or is that supposed to be that way?

      Thanks in advance!

They sell caps at an auto part store.

That’s a purge solenoid. As pointed out there’s suppose to be a filter cap on it.

As for the fluctuating idle, I’ve written extensively about those issues here.

Be sure that no one has adjusted the idle screw. That really messes things up if not done properly. BTW, it’s rarely if ever done properly.
