Solving Honda Idle Issues (hunting idle)

I have cleaned idle control valve on 91 Civic very successfully. Apparently it is somehow operated based on coolant temperature passing through it. I not just removed it, I took it apart completely. That’s how I am, I like learning “the insides”.
It looked like an old shower head inside – full of calcified slime. Cleaned and put it all back together. Worked fine. That car is still running.

Oh yeah. I donated car to my patient, he taught both of his daughters how to drive with it, and donated it to his cousin or something. Very stubborn vehicle.
