Snap on valve adjustment tool v. Honda’s tool

I’m in the market for a valve adjustment tool. I have mainly snap on tools & like having the same brand. However, in looking at my options, I noticed Honda makes the same specialty tool. I watched a video where Eric used snap on but I thought I’d check to see if anyone has any advice/preferences before I invest my money into either.

Also, any preferences or advice on feeler gauges. It looked in the video that long feeler gauges would work better than the smaller feeler gauges. I’ve tried smaller feeler gauges but from what I see the longer ones will work better.

Any information, advice, etc. on either of these would be appreciated. Thanking you in advance for your courtesies in this regard,

I’ve actually never tried one of those tools, just used a box wrench and screwdriver where you have to do it just right to not have the stud turn. Anyway why I’m posting is that I really advise having angled feeler gauges around. I got both angled and straight right from the beginning and have usually preferred and many times needed the angled ones, but tool sets and salesmen tend to push the straight ones more. I’ve always been really glad to have the angled ones around.

I adjusted the valves on my 97 Accord yesterday using a box end wrench and screwdriver and by about the 8th valve, my back was saying it wished I had the quicker Snap-On tool! lol If I did this regularly, I’d certainly invest in that tool!

I recently bought my first Snap-On ratchet, a long handled 3/8″ and it is way nicer than any of my Craftsman wrenches! I also bought a Blue Point impact & air ratchet, both of which are much more powerful than my older Craftsman air tools.

Good tools can make life a lot easier!

Where are you guys buying the longer feeler gauges? Angled ones would be nice too, as I ended up bending mine yesterday to make them fit easier.
