Hi Sorry to bother you again. I was the radio reset question guy. I got a new battery today. I installed it and it cranks but wont start the 03 sienna with 31400 miles. It happen my older civics before and I replaced the ignite and it was alive again. I Never worked on a coil pack car before. I heard the fuel pump coming on. THe battery is new. How do I check to see if the sienna is having sparks coming out from the engine. I suspect it can be the ignitor or main relay but how do I test for that?

      Thanks

try cranking the engine for 20 seconds. pull a plug out and see if its wet with fuel. if wet than spark issue. if dry than fuel.
you can purchase a spark plug tester at an auto part store. do you have a cel light on? post codes if you do. C8-)

I read some info online. It told me that Crank Position Sensor can cause it not to start. If the coils worked last night but not today. What does it mean? It cant be the coils.

Why can’t it be the coils? Have you done the basic diagnostics that were in the video college man posted? Have you tested for spark and/or fuel? If you have coil packs, which I’m only guessing from your post, you need to check and see if the coils are getting a signal from the PCM to fire, which a bad CKP sensor could cause to not happen. You need to slow down and gather some evidence. Here is a link to free wiring diagrams, and you need to study the ignition one and check your wiring:

                  Good luck bud.

I think on that vehicle your going to have two sensors. crank position sensor and cam position sensor. I believe
you need the cam position sensor. this sensor usually controls spark. C8-)

Thanks college man. I will check the resistance on them tonight. If it was the coils. I would have still gotten the car starter but the bad coil would gave me a check engine light. I plug in my obd 2 and no codes. I read ericthecarguy forums and it said camshaft position and crankshaft position sensor will cause it to supply no spark due to the computer dont know which one to fire. When it is fixed I update you the solution to how did I fix it? Thank you

If you do find the sensor in question bad. then I would replace both sensors due to age.C8-)

Do you have an anti theft device on that vehicle or a remote start?

Thanks all of you guys for your support. I finally got the car running. I check everything from sparks to fuel to compression. Like what all data said.
                            Thank you….
