Hey guys this is my virgin post. Love the videos. Anyways, I have a 2000 Buick lesabre with 220k km (135k mile)that sometimes has a shudder when turning at low speed it’s also sometimes present when stopped and turning the wheel. It doesn’t seem as violent when stopped. The shudde can be felt in the steering wheel and through out the car. The power steering pump doesn’t whine or any thing. My question, is it the power steering pump or rack? I’m pretty sure that it’s nothing front end related as all most everything has been replaced in the last 4 months (hubs, cv axles, lower control arms and ball joint, tie rod ends and the struts are newer) I got the car for $50 and with $900 invested it runs and drives like a dream other then ln this issue. I would still jack the car up and check each of them… spin the tire, push left/right, up/down and see if it makes any odd noises… also check the sway bar links and the sway bar bushings..you will have to grab it and try shaking it…. they are high on my list of causes… and while the car is on the ground shake the car up and down to check the socks on each tire
I would test every tire because the back one could cause problems in the front is the back is wabbly
now if you do those test… the rack being bad would act more likly like a bad tie rod… will not know for sure untill you take it off… also look for leaks
