I got a 5sfe motor (4 cylinder DOHC) with a 25k mile ago rebuild. It runs great, awesome oil pressure, no weird noises, always run full synthetic mobil 1 with mobil 1 filter since correctly broken in, also fresh tune up etc. BUT, in between changing gears once I get off the clutch and start pressing the gas, it will buck a little and then it’s fine. It does this every gear practically and it’s worse in colder weather and until the engine warms up. Clutch was replaced with rebuild 25K ago. Gear oil is right wear it should be and still good. It doesn’t slip or get stuck, it only bucks…the correct spark plugs are in place and I use good gas. It’s worse in 1st gear.

      Any ideas??

I believe your clutch needs adjusting mate I believe the adjustment is at the pedal if you don’t have enough freeplay it can cause this problem

It is a centerforce stage 1, basically just installed it with the rebuilt engine. Engine was rebuilt by Toyota.

How do I adjust the clutch? Would it be a simple task?
