      We have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica 3.5L AWD, 4 speed auto stick 4 wheel drive truck. The vehicle has been maintained by Chrysler since new and nearly everything functions like the day it was new. The exceptions are, replace passenger side window motor, and right front headlight assembly. Things needing repair are A/C (seperate post covering this), a car wash damaged drivers side auto dim mirro, drivers lumbar seat support (motor works – no movement), and a mysterous issue with fuel sensor 2, in the secondary saddle tank. Our low fuel light never illuminates and we have a few squeeks in the front end when stopping or going over a speed bump. The squeeks are assumed to be from bushings that lost lubrication in Floridas wet climate.

      Other than the above the car is perfect, including body appearance. It looks and drives like a brand new truck and we love it nearly as much as our spouse. ๐Ÿ˜›

      Today I am concerned about an problem with the secondary fuel sensor. On two ocassions the check engine light came on to reveal the code P2066 (fuel sensor 2). This has not affected anything we have noticed in the operation of the vehicle but we do know we never see a low fuel light come on. It may be we have never been that low on fuel, our in dash readout of miles of fuel left usually does not go below 40 miles, at which time we re-fuel.

      Each time the code “P2066” has displayed I have reset the code and continued driving the vehicle. [b]The first reset lasted around 3 months and the second reset was done 1 & 1/2 months ago and the code has not re-appeared.

      I know the car has a service bulletin for the fuel sensor and I think the code P2066 also. I do not know what the bulletin has to say, I have never had the chance to read it. Searching the forums online I have noted that the P2066 issue is occuring with other drivers, some of which report the fuel guage going to empty when it approaches 1/2 tank. this does not happen with our truck.

      Does anyone know about the service bulletin for our vehicle and the P2066 code? Chrysler will not tell me anything without dropping a couple hundred dollars to hook up a diagnostics device to the car. Pricing seems pretty steep just for a diagnostic.

      Also does anyone have any ideas for the no illumination of the low fuel light. note I have not pulled apart the dash to try checking the bulb, a lot of work for little gain and potential other issues.

      I know the truck is getting older but MY GIRL is so darn pretty and sexy all in black :silly: ๐Ÿ˜› :cheer: , not to mention she is loaded with nearly every thing Chrysler had to offer at the time. I have to get this gal back to 100% working condition, that’s the least she deserves. ๐Ÿ˜‰

          You could also call a dealer and give them the VIN of the vehicle and see if there have been any recalls on the vehicle.

              Already my money for a premium subscription has paid for itself. I have been trying to get my Chrysler dealer to show me this service bulletin for a few months. The service rep claimed he would take care of it as soon as he got freeded up a little. This never occured while I was at the dealer. My guess is my service rep did not want to mess with a flash since I told him I reset the code and it did not reappear for several weeks. Can’t really blame the guy, I might feel the same way.

              The Service Bulletin info about filling to a half tank is a pretty standard practice by my other half who normally drives the truck. She dislikes parting with her green and black paper, claims she filled to half to keep her hands clean and rations money out in the smallest of denominations unless it is something she really wants. :woohoo: I get the pleasure of filling up all the way when driving. Sound familiar? ๐Ÿ˜†

              I wonder if this will solve the low fuel light non illumination as well?

              This is absolutely great, a place to see Service Bulletins, I have never seen any of these before now. Thank you so much for the great direction to this location. B)

              I am just about 100% certain you are correct. The manufacture dates on the SRB line up with our truck. I need to go back and get them to fix the stearing wheel, which is not straight after alignment. This will be a perfect add on to the job and will give the service rep a way to tell me sorry in so many words. ๐Ÿ˜‰

                  I presented a copy of the TSB to Chrysler service locally. They ask if the P2066 code was still in the computer. Unfortunately it is not, I erased it in order to allow the Check Engine Light to active again notifying us for any other reason(s). This is not a problem, now I know what causes the light to come on and getting it to reactivate is a no brainer. [b]As soon as the code and check engine light return I will take the car in for warranty service, Chrysler indicated they would cover the cost under warranty service.

                  I was surprised Chrysler would cover the cost of the work, we have 117,000 miles and the car is almost 9 years old. Now I am looking at other problems that require a computer flash or other work. Chryslers must be some of the most intelligent vehicles on the road today, their computers seem to know about almost anything that can go wrong.

                  There is a serious issue for which Chrysler has extended the warranty to 150,000 miles coverage. It is the engine sub-frame assembly that fails, from corrosion, and applies mostly to vehicles in a few northern states. We live in Florida but our car was in the Chicago area for a little over 2 years when new. Our local dealer has ask us to schedule service for this in advance so they have time to properly check our car out. This has the potential of saving us more than $3000.00 dollars in repair cost and may be a life saver.
