ok guys about four years ago we purchased a 1992 SATURN SL2 it had the twin cam engine in it….
i dont have the car as i let it get repoed two months after getting it cuz the dealer wouldnt fix the issue
its just been bugging me cuz i never did figure out what was wrong with
OK SO THE ISSUE
YOU GO OUT AND START IT … IT WOULD RUN AND DRIVE FOR BOUT FIFTEEN MINUTES THEN START SPITTING AND SPUTTERING LIKE IT WAS OUT OF GAS AND THEN STALL… IT WOULD NOT START BACK UP… IF YOU LET IT SIT FOR TEN MINUTES IT WOULD FIRE BACK UP WITH NO ISSUES THEN RUN FOR 15 MINUTES SPIT AND SPUTTER AND STALL AND WENT ON LIKE THIS AS LONG AS YOU HAD THE PATIENCE LOL
SO ERIC AND FELLOW CAR GUYS ANY IDEAS WHAT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN

The way you explained it is dead on a crank sensor and if it was it should have spit a code 26 a 48 reference pulse failure.
Ignition module, fuel pump and possibly one of my older case files warm enough to melt the sugar in the injectors to clog the nozzles…
How many miles were on it? I had an old S-10 that did the same thing. Had about 180k miles on it. The cat was original, it would heat up and choke the exhaust off. I cut it off and it ran fine after that.

Well this guy is GM certified so I’m going with this. I would just add that in order to properly answer your question some testing would have to be done as it’s not a cut and paste kind of thing all we can do here is guess.
