Safe to use zip ties rather than CV boot clamps?

Is there any reason why I shouldn’t use zip ties to secure CV boots instead of the metal boot clamps? There are no loan-a-tool programs where I live, so I’d have to buy the special clamp tool – but if a zip tie will do the job just as well…

I have used them many times for inner tie rod boots and they will do. However they can break over time so check them when you do oil change etc. They will at least work until you can figure out next step for tool.

I have used band clamps before. Zip ties will suffice just fine IMO if your in a bind.
