Saab 9-3 SS 2006 MT, intermittently sticking rear passenger side caliper.
Hi. I’ve been trying nearly a month to figure out what is happening with my rear caliper. It started with a sticking handbrake puller on the caliper. I took the car to a garage a had the caliper rebuilt. Sticking handbrake after this transformed into intermittently sticking caliper. It didn’t let the wheel to spin freely after i released the brakes. It didn’t cause any overheating or smoke.
Then I put in a brand new OEM caliper and new hoses and new rotors AND it changed nothing. Then the ABS unit was replaced with a used one. And for a week everything was ok. But now the same thing happens. The rear right wheel is braking without my help but doesn’t overheat. Also when i release pressure by opening the bleeder screw it frees the wheel. Also if i apply brakes really hard the caliper will not stick, and only if i apply them gently (like you do when you usually drive) it will stick.
Really looking forward for any advice. Thank you.
