      Hello , first post here.
      08 Acura TSX, ~110K.
Lately noticed unusual and disturbing rustling/scraping metal-to-metal like sound coming out from the right wheel (front or rear, can’t tell) . Sound reveals itself when either going backward (straight or turn) or when going left (turn or slight curve) . On a cold car it comes up on slow speed and disappears under acceleration or breaking. On highway speed it comes up when curving to the left. After exiting highway the problem seems to cure itself for a short time but reappears within 10 min.
Here is the video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DnjGD_TIgM
So far I checked front right wheel as the most noise comes when turning and it is definitely on the right side.
The wheel does not have any free play vertically. Front brake pads have a lot of meat left. Dust pan (the first suspect) was OK. Tried to turn wheel by hand when jacked up – no noise.
Next step – will check rear wheel pads / caliper/ dust shield.
It does not sound to me like a bad bearing, but I do not have much experience with bad bearings..
Any idea what to diagnose next?

Found the problem – it was the rear wheel brake pad. Lower pin stuck and the internal pad was worn down at the indicator side and indicator scratched my rotor.
        Thanks for watching! 🙂

          Glad you’ve found the trouble.
I hope you’ve checked out the ETCG video on replacing brake pads, so you know to only use a pure silicone lubricant (not any kind of grease)on the cleaned up slide pins and a small amount of antiseize on pad contact points.

Is the sound at 9, 33, and 45 seconds when you’re turning? I had a similar periodic scraping noise that randomly appeared and then disappeared within a mile of driving. I thought a pebble was trapped near the dust shield and eventually fell out. Two other possible causes are misalignment of the pad retainer/abutment clip or slight sticking of the pad that periodically grazes the rotor.

            Edit: Glad you solved it.
