I bought Eric’s video on how to do a timing belt on a 1997 Honda Accord LX. I stuck rubber hose down the spark plug well as he did in the video, but when I was using my screw driver to get it in there, I ripped the hose and now have a piece about 8 inches long stuck in there. I have no idea how to get it out. Please help me. I don’t know what to do next.

Maybe you could use a shop vac with a make shift small nozzle to coax it out with suction.

Well 9″s of rubber hose isn’t going away by itself. I wouldn’t take a chance and create increased disasters. Pull the head and do it right.cb.

Can you thread a bolt into the hose and get it out that way or
thread the bolt in to cap the hose and turn the engine by hand to
see if it pops out. becareful
