      Hello Eric,

      Ok, here is my problem.
I have an Acura MDX 09 with about 140,000 miles. Had it for almost two years now.
A few months ago I cleaned the throttle body on the MDX. (I should have done some more research)
I gently pushed the butterfly inside the throttle body to spray the throttle body cleaner and wiped it with a microfiber towel. (it must have confused the computer/sensor then) Key was off the ignition when I did this. After that I noticed the idle jumping up and down between 1k-3k.

I reset the ECU. It seemed to help.
But it still drove funny so I took it to a local mechanic who specialize it honda/acura.
He hooked up a scanner/computer and reset the throttle body and idle the car for 15 min. The car drove very smoothly for a day or two.

It feels that the idle is slightly higher than normal. When cruising on 2nd or 3rd gear the car goes a bit faster than it used to (Idle used to be 800 without giving any gas but now it is at about 1000 or 1100). I also notice downshifting is just a little bit rougher. Funny thing is the car drives fine right after resetting the throttle body but after a day or two it seems to learn the funny way to drive (before the throttle body resetting). Any suggestions?

Btw, I want to thank you so much for all your videos. They are so useful and helpful. Thank you.

Check for vacuum leaks. And you may have knocked some dirt into the IAC while cleaning. Try removing IAC and cleaning ports

          what cleaner did you use???
I would try recleaning the MAF again but you have to use the correct cleaner for it and see if that helps… only thing sucks is that cleaner is like $9… ya and also check for cracks becuase hoses crack easy when they get old and also check your connections and see if any are loose

Thank you for replying. I doubt it is the vacuum leak. Should i take a part the control valve? I’m afraid it would make it worse. I was hoping it was a matter of some resetting issue.

I used a throttle body cleaner from autozone. Yeah it cost about $9 or so i believe.
I doubt it will be the hose but will check it again for any cracks. Thanks!

Remove the valve and clean it and the ports out with throttle body cleaner
