I need some feedback from the community on this high performance oil with high zddp being used with my 2008 Honda Accord v6 and it’s catalytic converter. I know the industry highly regulates the adattives in engine oil for this reason. I know this is a hot button issue as well. Royal Purple claims that under their testing that the Royal purple hps had no adverse effects on the catalytic converter. Should I believe the manufacturer? My car has 98k on it and I want a really high quality oil for it. If I don’t use the Royal purple hps I will just run the regular Royal purple oil. If anybody suggests the Royal purple hmx, it doesn’t come in 5w-20. What are your thoughts?
