rough idle after replacing timing belt

i just replaced my timing belt on mitshubishi mirage 1.5L. after replacing timing belt runs a little rough at idle and settles up. then runs very smooth. again when i come to a stop and idle, runs rough. what could i done wrong? please help me. thank you.

did you disconnect the battery? what year?

i disconnected the -ve side the whole time i was working on timing belt. its a 2003 mitshubishi mirage 1.5 (AU)

just in case i need to do that again. i need a tip. while i set the timing i put back the crank bolt. everything lines up then i tried to start up. ran just fine. then when i needed to put back the crank pulley i had to unbolt the crank bolt. i had to go anti clockwise. did that do any trouble? if so whats the tip to remove that crank bolt without turning the crankshaft? thanks in advance.

Might have jumped a notch if the belt was a little too loose.

Has happened to me a time or two.

sh1t just happened. went to do the job again. took everything apart. just when i was undoing tensioner bolt it snapped. going to take it to a mechanic. just another expensive repair. 🙁
