      I changed the pcv valve on my 2005 chrysler sebring coupe 2.4 and now there is a rough idle after about 5-10 mins after cold start. If i drive in the freeway for a while and let it get fully warmed up it seems to disappear. When im driving in the street when the engine is still cold every time I stop I feel vibrations in the cabin right before I fully stop. If I let my foot off the brake and let the car “creep” forward, it is most noticeable that time as the inside starts to shake and the steering wheel seems to be vibrating rigorously. This happened immediately after i changed the pcv valve, and I changed it just because the car has more than 80k miles, so I figured I would as a maintenance. I did use an aftermarket one, if that is of any help. Thanks, Regards.

        Use an OEM valve if possible. That alone may be the problem.

          Just ordered one, pretty pricey at 30 bucks, i’m hoping this works.

There is a reason it’s 30 bucks, typically you get what you pay for. The OEM one with definatley be to spec. A PCV valve is basiclly a controlled vacuum leak which will cause rough running if weak or clogged. It will also cause rough running if it’s the wrong one or configured wrong from whoever manufactures it.

                I bought an aftermarket pcv valve for my car which has a turbo. When the turbo kicks in the manifold is pressurized and if the pcv valve doesn’t seal, the crankcase is also pressurized. I could blow through the aftermarket one in both directions but not the old OEM part.
