I’ve been noticing when ever I wash my car or when it rains I see that my front A pillar is wet. and I suspect its leaking water. some where from the drain tubes. or possibly from the windshield seal. I’ve heard that its a common place water leaks from. Is this true? and how easily it would be to replace a drain tube. I know I have to remove the Roof lining assembly. so ill start there have to fix this soon cause who knows what secret damage this could be causing. Also in morning before I leave for work I hear popping and cracking noises from the roof lining when I drive but it seems it go’s away. Only happens in the mornings. I removed the A pillar trim and discovered one of the clips is yellowed and is old im thinking it could be the heat did it and maybe this could be the cause of the noise. I’m hearing guess this happened to the clips since my car mostly sits outside.

oh yea I’ve watched this video of the Acura Vigor cool car. I think 90’s Honda And Acura vehicles have always been on my list of one of the great generation of cars Honda made. But wow I couldn’t believe the rust the Vigor had around the rear ventilation vent and inside the trunk. But Its going to be nice to see the Vigor get back on the road though. anyways I’ll remove my interior roof lining and see what I find. I hope its nothing serious. I’ll report back with results soon. Thanks for the info Eric

well I removed my rear pillars along with the roof lining and well… the worst I have suspected its not the drain tubes are leaking those are not the issue. it appears that my front windshield seal is leaking. And to make things even worse. the rear windshield is leaking also but that’s not even the worse part yet. I found small surface rust on the corners between the chassis the plates that are spot welded of Both sides of the rear windows right where the Chassis of the car is. Its bad I can’t believe this is happening I removed it with my nail. so its not to severe but its there. at least I caught it now rather than a few years from now where it could get worse. I’m going to get some Denatured Alcohol and some Q-tips and a Tooth brush and see if I can remove the surface rust. And remove the Rear Windshield assembly to get in there and see what else is going on Unbelievable I inherit this Vehicle and I get this problem Damn I used to think Honda’s And Acura’s where immortal from Rust I guess I was wrong.

Has the car been through a hail storm? Sometimes after a big storm the glass shops get so busy they don’t do a very good job.

I’ve fixed window leaks with silicon caulk and it worked. However, if you have the money, the best fix would be to have the windows reset at a glass shop. Also, take a look a the front windshield. If it is stared by tiny rock hits, a new clear windshield can be a wonderful experience – but even more money.

As for the rust under the leaks, it should stop when the area is kept dry. I’d suggest wiping the rust down with clean engine oil (behind plastic not fabric) and calling it good.
