Hey all. Just started as a roadside tech (AAA services, lock-out, fuel delivery, jumps, ect)
We carry 4 different sizes of AC Delco batteries for sale. My question is, If I come across a call and determine the battery to have failed, out of the four batteries to choose from how should I determine the best choice.

Do I go closest size (group) to the original?
      Closest CCA?
Or just what fits and accommodates the terminals. This is a commission sell but I do not want to sell the incorrect battery.

      Thanks for the help fellas!

        Hey John.
I would go with the closest group size for the application. Cca doesn’t mean much if you live in a warm climate. CCa (Cold cranking amps) Are a measure of how long the car will crank in below zero weather. Rc (reserve capacity) is a measure of how long you can use the battery without recharging. (like an alternator failure)
Congrates on your new job. I did that about 20 years ago. I found it challenging and hilarious at times. I’ll bet you will meet some real characters.
