I have a 1999 acura 3.0 cl. My heating system is stuck with air blowing out of the center and defrost vents only even if I select a different button on the dash. There is no air coming from the floor vents. I am guessing its a mode control motor problem. Where is it located and how do I get to the motor to replace it? Thanks a million in advance.

The good news is, that looks like it`s the one buried up above the drivers feet. Believe it or not, that’s the “easy” one on most vehicles.

The other 2 should be located behind the glovebox or somewhere there about. The basic layout is pretty standard across most makes.

Thanks so much AcuraTech and DaFirnz for all the help. I took out the part and tested it and to my surprise it worked. I just put it back and I heard the comforting hum of the vents flaps changing. I didn’t have to replace the part :cheer: . Once again thanks and thanks to Eric for this forum.
