Rotated my tires and noticed that rear bushings need replacing. Thinking about doing the job myself after checking some youtube videos. My only concern is the placement of new bushing. Do I try to place new bushing in the exact position of old bushing as when the car is lifted? Is there any movement on the bushing once the car is back on the ground with load the trailing arm?

I actually shot a video on this almost 4 years before I became ETCG. Never edited it though. That said, it depends on the type of bushing you use. I recommend the solid bushing instead of the open factory type. With that type the center support can move in the bushing so it doesn’t matter too much. On other types where the center support is part of the bushing you need to install it as close as possible to the orientation of the old bushing.

Good luck and keep us posted.
