I have a 97 Acura RL. There is a very small leak at the top of the radiator. It looks like the top of the radiator is plastic and is attached to the metal part of the radiator. The leak is between these two pieces. Can that leak be fixed?

I don’t know of anyway to repair that. In my experience there is probably a small crack in the plastic. you will need to replace the rad.

Agreed, that area between the plastic and metal crimp is a common leak area. The only fix is to replace the radiator. Be sure to vent the air in the cooling system after replacing the radiator.

I just went through the same thing! I ended up using three different “leak sealers” for cooling systems to no avail. It will save you some money to bypass the aforementioned efforts and just buy a new radiator. 7 fasteners, 4 electrical connections, and a little elbow grease later… You’ll be good to go. :cheer:
(PS: my car is missing fasteners, and the owner of said vehicle isn’t very good at counting…ergo I don’t care if my numbers are incorrect, you get the gist.)
