Thanks for the reply. I will check this information out. I have been in Orlando before and think this is a Nice place. But the plan is to drive south for some days and then maybe drive up the west coast of Florida.

There is also cheaptickets.com (which is owned by Orbitz) and Hotwire.com

          You can also check out:

Be wary of the car rental insurance that is offered through the travel sites; though they are much cheaper than getting the insurance from the rental company, they are generally a PAIN to deal with if you unfortunately need to file a claim (down right criminal at times).

          Welcome to America 🙂

I agree with lone wolf about rental insurance. I know that most times if one has insurance for their private car here in the U.S., many times your insurance carrier will basically cover the same things on a rental car. Not sure if that is industry wide or just certain states/insurance carriers and not sure how that affect a tourist in the U.S. Bottom line though, I would carry some type of insurance on a rental car even if I had to buy it from them. I had to use a rental car a few years ago due to someone hitting my car. They had insurance and it paid for my rental for about a month until my car was fixed. I only had liability insurance on my personal car so that was included in the rental car, but I paid extra to get full-coverage on the rental car since it was fairly new and if I wrecked it, I didn’t want to have to pay thousands of dollars to replace it. Hope you have a great time visiting Florida!!
