remove front oil seal

2003 Frontier 2.4L. I changed my front oil seal few weeks ago. The one in the timing chain cover just behind the balancer. I did a lot of surfing on youtube to get as much info as I could. Never did that before. Anyway, One site said to use the old fashion paint can opener to get the old seal out. It worked like a charm. Real easy and no scratching the shaft. The old type paint can open is the one with a bottle opener on one end. Just thought I’d pass it on. “LOU”

I simply use old flathead with tip bent at 90. There’s always one laying around garage.
