In several of your videos you mention the decrease in service work and corresponding increase in warranty work at the dealer. I’d like to see a video outlining the services you used to do that you still recommend beyond what’s in the modern owner’s manual maintenance schedule to prevent those increased repairs (things like brake caliper lube, etc) and also what used to be done but probably isn’t necessary anymore on modern cars (valve jobs?).

That’s a good suggestion. I’m not sure how to approach it however as maintenance is something that’s really specific to manufacturer. It would be difficult to group that all into one video as there are sooo many variables. I’ll noodle it around for a bit and see what I can come up with. For the most part however, stick to what the manual says and you should be fine. Much of those service items went away because the engineering got better and did away with a lot of serviceable items. In short, that would be a very difficult video to make if I’m honest.
