rear wiper stopped in the middle of the window

hey guys,

So I was on my way home from work the other night {this is a 2008 Ford Explorer V8) and when I went to use my rear washer I noticed the wiper moving very slow and then it just stopped mid swipe, When I parked I was able to turn the wiper on and assist it to go back to it’s resting position, Before I end up wasting money on parts I don’t need, Is there anything else it could be besides the wiper motor (which is what came to my mind first but I just want to be sure)

check motor wires> Believe ground should be there always and switch will provide power when turned on. Check out BBBindustries to see if they have free wiring diagram.

If not, the Haynes manual will have it. A very frequent cause of rear wiper failure is breakage in the boot between the body and liftgate where the wires flex like a thousand times a year.
