Rear window defogger

My grandfathers 06 Chevy Impala’s rear window defogger doesn’t work. Checked the relay and it was no good. Replaced it with a new one and still doesn’t work. Any suggestions?

Check the fuse. Does the light come on when the switch is pressed?

I can check the fuse again. The light does come on when you press the button but does not heat up the rear window.

There should be a connector at the rear window.
Turn the switch on and test for 12v at the connector.

Thanks for the tip. The connecter for the rear defogger terminal was absolutely trashed and fried. Thanks for the help again, the bypass wire did the trick.
