Rear tires worn out on inside of tire

3-door 2000 Saturn. Rear tires look like new on the outside but you can see cords on the inside. It is real squirrely on gravel, ice or snow only going 15 to 25 mph. What might the possible causes be of the uneven wear of the tire?

Your rear camber is to negative. Time for new tires and a
four wheel alignment.

You may have them way over inflated as well.
Just as a suggestion, never use the tire pressure listed on the tire. There is usually a sticker on the inside of the drivers door panel, or on the driver door frame.
That’s the manufacturers stated pressure.

Only negative camper or toe out can cause inside of tire to wear.

Too big tire pressure will cause center of tire to wear faster but normally if use max sidewall pressure from new to almost bald in center difference to sides is 1…2mm or about 1/16”

Just don’t seem to be myself today.. Off on a few things. I should have written UNDER inflated.

The outside of a tire is considered the shoulders on both sides of a tire. The inside is considered the tread area only. That mixed me up, since he obviously meant the inside-inside.

But an overinflated /under inflated tire can certainly cause uneven tire wear.
Not in this instance since only one side has wear.
