I am changing my rear Rotor and brake pads on my acura RL. The rear rotor has a drum in the hat of the rotor parking brake set up. When I change my rear rotor do I need to adjust my parking brake or is the procedure a simple swap of the rotor?

No you dont need to adjust your parking brake just replace the rotor and pads.
Parking brake works separately to the disc brakes.

Need is too strong a word, but it certainly should be done. Most of the time, you have to go thru a little hole in the rotor or backing plate and retract the shoes in to get the rotor off without tugging the hell out of the shoes/hardware, which means they will be out of adjustment if left alone. If you do not have to do that, then you could get away without adjusting them, although it’s so easy to do unless the adjuster is seized. If you want the parking brake to work properly, they should be adjusted as far out as possible to almost meet the new rotor hat. As far out as they go without making the rotor drag at all by hand.
