      Well, the hub should be attached to the axle, unless it’s an independent rear suspension. If it’s not, then you have to remove the diff cover and pull the c-clip the holds the axle in place. Why do you ask?

          I don’t think Ford uses the ‘C’ clips but rather I believe the axle is bolted to the housing. Remove the drum and look at the axle flange, if it has holes in it then remove the nuts under them (usually 4) once you remove those the axle should slide out of the bore. Keep in mind fluid may come out so you might want to remove the rear shoes to keep them from getting contaminated.
