      So, I’m driving the car more since replacing the slave cylinder finally(separate thread) and the concern of the head gasket is put off for now._x000D_

        You could use a pry bar to check for excessive play or have someone brake-torque the engine to see if you see excessive mount movement._x000D_

        Do you have access to a FSM as well as a good jack and jack stands?

          Interesting idea on the pry bar. I’ve seen movement and enough symptoms to condemn the engine mounts, just not sure of which ones. It looks like the rear engine mount and possibly the sub-frame mounts. If the rubber is degraded, does that condemn those su

              We had a Volvo in the shop today for a severe vibration noise. When i had the vehicle on the lift, one of the right side engine mounts had completely failed. So in showing this to the customer, i used one of my pry bars to show the issue and the amount of

                Well, I ordered the parts and will have them installed later this week, hopefully. I’ll update then. That was a crazy experience.

                  Replaced all 5 mounts, 2 were broken. 1 was dry rotting. The “transmission side” mounts were looking okay but also beginning to show signs of stress._x000D_
