      Hi Eric,
      I drive a 2004 Saab 9-5 Wagon and I noticed the small black slats on my gear shifter are starting to break. Can these be replaced or repaired?

        Anything human hands put together, another man hand can break and another man hand can repair.
        Remove shifter knob, unclip plastic bezel around shifter and either replace entire piece, or just the slats. They are likely removable too. Most cost efficient source for one – salvage yards.
