ok so my radiator fan is not working, even when i turn my ac on. It used to turn on when i turned on the battery but now not at all. If i give it some throttle then the fans will kick on till i let off of it and then they will stop spinning. What is the problem?

Set it to voltage DC or VDC and connect the red and black to the plug going to the fan.

If you get the wires the wrong way around you’ll just get a -12.4 ish reading when the fan has power
OK i bought a multi meter How do i check the voltage. What do i plug the black and red wire things on the Multi meter to? The fans plugs them selves or the connections they connect to. I am a new at using one of these things,
Kerb is correct. It doesn’t matter in this test. Unless it’s an analog meter, then I’m not sure how negative values would be shown if the leads were reversed. You’d obviously have to try both ways.
