      Hello,i just bought an used engine for my old sentra 98, it is supposed to be a 2010 with low mileage and oem parts.

      Heres my question, since it was a 3/4 engine it doesnt come with valve cover, so i noticed the chain for the camshafts its a

        it is normal to have a little play.the engine is 2 years old. (don’t know mileage) chains do stretch. to check the play. put a socket on the
        crank bolt with a breaker bar. slowly turn the crank and watch the timing chain movement. there should not be that much lag between
        the crank movement and the chain movement. good luck and keep us posted. C8-)

          Thanks, i dont have the bolt that goes on the crank so i cant do it right now, i tried with a 8mm spanner to carefully grab a dent the crankshaft has and i turned it a little and the chain tensed so i guess its ok, i heard a f
