Hello,i just bought an used engine for my old sentra 98, it is supposed to be a 2010 with low mileage and oem parts.
Heres my question, since it was a 3/4 engine it doesnt come with valve cover, so i noticed the chain for the camshafts its a loose between them, not by much but enough to move it up and down, is it normal?, i mean i recently purchased this same engine but remanufactured and the chain was tight (i returned that engine because it crapped on me twice because they used chinese parts and they lasted for only 5 mins then the engine broke, did i mention twice 😛 , and that where i decided better go with a used one)
Anyways, the timing seems correct ( both chain and the dented thingy (i dont know how its called in english) have their marks matching ), but the chain worries me a little, i dont know maybe it will be corrected when the engine is turning and the tensor engages?
Thanks for your time.
