If you have a repair questions this is one place to post it. Everyone is welcome to offer an answer and I’ll check in often to offer anything I can. You can also start a new thread for a particular problem and we can all have a go at it. This is an opportunity for me to learn as well and I look forward to how this works out for us, ask away!

August 22, 2011 at 11:00 am #452678Yup, ask away everyone! I’ll put my best effort into answering any questions you have. Worked as a tech for 6 years now for GM, but will try my best to help you no matter what kind of car you drive.
August 22, 2011 at 11:00 am #452679That is the idea and all the threads are searchable and show up when someone asks a question in the search box too so they can get answers right away.

August 23, 2011 at 11:00 am #452682Ok I’m brand spanking new to the forum so I’m not sure if this is the place to post new questions or not so if this is the wrong place forgive me and I will cut and paste all of this into the right area. Ok I have a 1993 Honda Accord Lx. Oil started coming out my distributor so I replaced it. I didn’t have the money to buy a OEM Honda part so I had to settle for a Cardone. My question is what if you forgot to mark your old distributor and can’t remember what position the rotor was in when you took it off? Yep…I’m an idiot for not doing this. So what do I do now? I have spark at the plugs but it won’t start.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
BuckAugust 23, 2011 at 11:00 am #452683Yep, this is the wrong spot. Back out one level and start a new thread. But if it’s like my Prizm, the thing will only go in one of two directions.
August 27, 2011 at 11:00 am #452684Eric , ever do a timing belt and water pump on a mazda protege?Just wondering how you would hold the crank to tighten the crank bolt among some other questions.
August 28, 2011 at 11:00 am #452685I’ve been working as a tech at various shops for the past 10 years, I’m more than happy to help out anyone who needs it. My preferred brand is Subaru, but I’m comfortable working on just about anything American or Japanese.
Eric, I’ve been following your videos, and I just wanted to say thanks for posting them up and for making this website. I hope I can contribute to the information here.

October 7, 2011 at 11:00 am #452690I have a 2003 pontiac aztek 3.4 / it started oever heating I had the intake gakets replaced 2 years ago. it has no water flow.
I took it to a shop they said it was the heater core is plugged.I didnt think the heater core could make the car over heat. to me, no water flow is either the water pump or the thermostat.
