I’m in the process of getting my car back into tip top shape, and ready for inspection. I just replaced the steering rack, and got two front tires; now I need an alignment. My inspection is expired and I need to get the alignment done before I can drive to the junkyard and get the last few things I need.

Will a shop perform an alignment even though my inspection is expired? Or can I expect them to turn me away?

I don’t really see why they wouldn’t, especially if the shop does inspections in house. Just make sure you don’t get stopped on the way lol

Where you are isn’t specified in this thread or in your profile, so we can’t accurately answer your question. Where I am, state inspection doesn’t include alignment unless a wheel is “visually out of alignment”. If a car fails inspection like yours does, that has no bearing on if we are willing to do repairs, let alone an alignment. If a car fails inspection, the actual State Inspection is the only job we won’t do on it.
